What motivates me to play chess online?

1st of all, I love chess but in my town there is only 1 chess club and there's no one under 60 years old.

Crazy huh?

So online chess is a perfect solution 4 me.

I have friends here, I'm in a great team. I'm playing live as well as correspondence chess...

In 1 word, it's heaven 4 me.

I have always wanted to play chess as a profession. I've been able to do just a little. I am a national master in Nigeria and I have spent almost 15 yrs playing chess as a semi professional but I had to get a job because I need to survive and chess in Nigeria have not been able to do this for aspiring professionals. I see chess as a language. I can play with whoever irrespective of class, race, religion, background and all other things. I have always wanted to go from city to city playing top level chess. I dont know if its too late but its the reason why I am working, saving hard enough to fulfill my dreams. I play chess online to fulfill my dreams- meet people, see variations, have an idea of how i would do if I eventually leave Africa. I love chess so much and playing it gives me fulfilment especially when I win.
