Chess to me is a game of expressive strategy

A game of war, a war of the minds.  Chess to me is a game of expressive strategy and a game that requires one to anticipate the strategy of others.  What is great about chess is that both players start out with equal opportunity and power, but it is their mind that decides whether they will overpower or be overpowered.
