a little help here!
Hey everyone i started this chess site probably a week ago. I started playing chess when i was about 2 years of age. Since then i have been the top of the scoreboard of my chess team in my town. The only problem with my strategy is that I'm not very good in the middle game, and i was wondering if all of you can teach me how to do it. i don't care how u teach me but at least let it make sense to me. I thank u with your co-op. Thank you and have a wonderful day and great games that await you. :)Comments: 2

This is my personal opinion. First learn an opening. Don't fully learn it, just learn the basic lines ofi it, let's say 8,9 moves. Best way is chess books. You must learn though how to read a chess game first. Then learn the basic principles of openings, so you will avoid dopiing bad moves in the begining of the game.Openings have huge theory. You must just TAKE A LOOK and then learn the basic principles not try to memorize everything. Don't go for deep opening theory, just learn how to play in the begining and how NOT to play in the begining. Then you must learn endgame. Middlegame goes last, you will see why. In the endgame, you must learn some things. It has not as much theory as openings (less pieces anyway) so you have the opportunity to learn: 1)How you win a winning position 2)How a 'losing' position turns into a draw 3)How to win a drawish position. 4)How to play so 1,2 and 3 won't happen to you, by your opponent. Middlegame contains combinations, strategical and tactical elements. You must learn all of them. Middlegame says: Okay, end of the opening. I must LEAD my position in a winning endgame position. Now you get it! How will you understand why or what to do in middlegame, if you don't know what a winning endgame position is?That's why you learn endgames first. ;-) So, Firsty you study a little openings. Secondly you study hard endgame. Then you learn middlegame (study hard too). Finally you must learn well at least one opening. Then ti's up to you what you'll do. Cheers.
