Apparently, we can make moves while on vacation? One of my opponents is on vacation until Aug 8th but responded to my last move without a change in status. How is this possible?-

Making a move in a game while on vacation is against the official Chesshere Rules!

It is spelled out to members in several areas such as the FAQ page, the Rules page and also by myself.

The reason is simple:
Two players agree to play a game with a set time control. If either player then goes on vacation and keeps moving in his/her games then they are violating the agreed upon time control for the game(s).

That is why it is illegal and anyone who does such a thing needs to be reported to myself along with the address to the game.

I will forfeit the player\'s game for the 1st offense. After that if he/she does it again I will kick them off the site!

You have and I sent you an email. But for other people wanting to know the procedure you do this:

* Go to the game on your computer.
* Send me the address at the top of the page.
* Also send me the name of the person.

They get 1 warning - then they start forfeiting every game and are eventually kicked from the site.
