I have noticed that the link to view a game is only view-able by a member who is logged into this site. It would be nice if anyone could view a clickable version of games here. I mean how can I boast at facebook to other friends how nice this site is and how strong the players overall are if I can\'t show off games here? :P :)-

Art,

I found a serious bug when I worked at GameKnot.com and here is how it worked:

Give the URL address to anyone so they can log into that adress to see the game and guess what!? They now have access to the site!

When I discovered this horrible bug at gameknot I also discovered that if you give them the URL for something a captain posted in his/her private team forum then whoever used the URL gained access - not only to the post or game, but ALSO to the ability of the person that the URL belonged to!

In other words, a complete stranger could aquire the Captain\'s access and go in and remove everybody from the team! DELETE every and all messages!!!

The g/k representatives thanked me for pointing that bug out to them before they started being complete jerks to you and myself.

HOWEVER, I will run some tests and see if it is possible to make a link without giving the person access.

Cheers,
Don

Ok, I just checked it out Art and if you post the link to a game people can click on it and see the game!

They can also play chess once they log in.
Try it and see if you have any problems with doing this.

Dont know if this is relevant :
Once logged in I copied the page to desktop from where I log in every time. This negotiates the need to go through passwords, going straight to my logged in page, and the green light never goes on. Convenient for me but, would prefer the green light like others. The infamous green light will also go out after less than an hour. We had an amusing debate in the forums about it a few years ago.

Everyone who uses any site on the Internet should have their system set to \'accept cookies\'.

Using a regular login will enter your user name and password automatically and you should not have to put those in. The only reason that you would have to enter them is if you are using a different computer to login or you have set your system up to not accept cookies (or you have your system set to delete all cookies when you shut down).

Please check your computer if you are having these problems and remember... the site knows if you are using your computer to login. If you use a different computer then you will have to enter the information you mentioned.
