The CCA 0-1400 championship results are under further review to make sure the end result is fair. I will send out a final standings list later. Here are the current standings that are pending:

phicho (Champion)
chris81 (2nd Place)
Sarah Engels (Disqualified)
greenp (Asked to have all games resigned)

Sarah Engels somehow got through the system twice with the same account AND got to the final round. She has been disqualified.

greenp asked to have all his games resigned.

We are reviewing phicho and chris81 to make sure they are eligible to have participated in this tournament.

the game stan1945 vs. rwyl2 in 1801 2000 CCF Championship is now on the third repeated position. Why it isn\'t an automatic draw?-

I had the same v Angelfish. I wanted the draw by repitition BUT you have to claim it, it`s not automatic. A message appears in the top box ( resign, offer draw etc ) that says this move will be a 3 move repitition, do you want to claim the draw ? and a box to click on to claim it. Thinking it was automatic I just played the move. The game continued.-

This is not problematic in a friendly game.
But in a championship in which this is the last game to complete the round and the rest of players are waiting for the game to be concluded... I think it is ridiculous.

Whoa guy!
\'You think this is rediculaous\'?
What is so rewdiculous to you???

Before you make a reply read this information:

1) The computer program in non-emotional and is designed to abide by all the Chess Rules of FIDE!

2) If you look up the official \'Chess rules\' in FIDE you will see that repetition of a position for 3 times ALLOWS the opponent to claim a draw. It is NOT a forced draw if the opponent does not claim it!

The program here is well written and applies all the FIDE rules as they should be applied in any professional tournament.

You fault is with the person who does not look at the screen and select the feature \'Claim a Draw\'.

Nothing a professional tournament director in an OTB tournament can do if the player does not see and then claim a draw.

The Official FIDE rules of chess are followed as they should be.

Don is correct.

In RTC, however, it is automatically claimed after the third repetition but is NOT automatically claimed in CC.

A game could go back and forth with the same move for 50 times and still not be claimed. (CC only)

It is up to those two players to claim a draw, even though it will likely end in a draw anyway.

Regardless, stan will win the championship because he has a .5 lead already, so if he wins or draws he will win the championship.

Please what do you do if you suspect your opponent is cheating with a chess computer engine?-

You MUST file a formal complaint with the information that we need to investigate the game. That means you have to send myself (data2007@att.net) the following information:

1) you must send me the opponent\'s name.
2) You MUST send a link to the game.
3) You must send a reason why you think your opponent used a computer program to play the game.

DO NOT send me more than ONE game!
And make very sure that the link to the game is correct.

Follow the above and I will personally investigate your claim. I do not investigate several games at one time.

The procedure to capture 1 cheater is complicated and takes some time. If you do not send all 3 of the above items listed above then do not expect a response.
