If 8...g6 9.Qxd5+ followed by 10.Qxe4 wins. On 8...Kf6 9.f3 g6 (if the Knight moves, 10.Bg5+ wins the Queen) 10.fxe4+ wins. Or if 8...Ke7 9.Qxd5 Nf6 10.Re1+ wins quickly. Finally, if 8...Kg8 9.Qxd5+ Be6 10.Qxe6#.

9...Ne7, to protect the Queen Pawn. Insufficient is 9...Nxc3 10.Re1+ Ne4 (10...Kd6 11.Bf4+, etc.) 11.Rxe4+ dxe4 12.Bc4+ and White forces mate.

Or 10...dxe4 11.Bc4+ Kf6 (if 11...Kd6 12.Qc5#) 12.Qf7#.

11...Kf6 permits mate in two by 12.Bg5+ and 13.g4#.

White wins the Queen.

Vicious.

So on move 5 if Black moves the d-pawn, it should be to d6?
