Can I suggest people stick LerouxJP on their Friends list and keep an eye out for him?-

4France  LerouxJP2015-05-13 08:58:56
I never refuse to play a game only i restrict them to 1/0 2/0 or 3/0 knowing that i can only play 3 games per 24 hours, having me on your friend list does represent an advantage

GM Le Roux

Torakula, I did enjoy the games that we played, sadly i do not have access t the pgn, would have liked to post some comments on some of the moves you played, but as i told you over the board, you opening knowledge is decent; where you seem to lack is the notion of planing mind you it was a 2/0, remeber there are no \"similo sacrifices\" without any compensation-

6France  LerouxJP2015-05-19 14:39:45
also you tend to simplify too early, develop your pieces, try to control the center or at least occupy it then you can try to exchange, but dont do it too early-

7France  LerouxJP2015-05-19 14:41:09
well folks looks like i ve played my three free games but i ll be waiting 30 minutes for a 2/0 tourney to start so if you are interested, join in -

Well, thanks indeed for directing me to your comments in the forum. Yes, openings are my only true strength. I struggle a great deal with endgames...and in blitz, probably I opt for captures by my knights/bishops earlier than necessary (\"simplifying early\") in order to expedite time pressure on weaker players. Especially in 1/0, that can work sometimes on stronger players too...but I don\'t claim to see too deeply into the middlegame, it is just that I try to play boldly, especially with white--where the object is to keep the initiative, right?. ...
As for our games, the time you picked off a rook pawn with your bishop, clearly I should have moved the king to the corner, but I fell for it and took the bishop. This lead to the follow up forking knight move that took out my queen. I\'ll try to paste that gaffe of mine in with PGN here so people can see what a simple mistake I made.

there...first PGN post for me...don\'t know if you can see it... but note well: with 14. ...Bxh2+ white\'s reply should be 15. Kh1 or Kf1, not what I did, which is 15. Kxh2? and then 15. ...Ng4+ forks white\'s queen.-

hi there

apparently i do not see your pgn , but you do state perfectly the fact. It is already half the battle won when you are able to determin your strengh but most importantly your weakness

11Canada  dsuttlesChessHere Moderator2015-05-20 13:39:27
I might even try the water myself.-

1.e4 e6 2.d4 d5 3.exd5 exd5 4.Bb5+ Bd7 5.Be2 Bd6 6.Nf3 Nf6 7.Nc3 h6 8.Ne5 O-O 9.Nxd7 Nbxd7 10.O-O c6 11.Bd3 Re8 12.Re1 Rxe1+ 13.Qxe1 a5 14.Qe3 Bxh2+ 15.Kxh2 Ng4+

13Scotland  torakula2015-05-22 00:14:49
there...I figured it out. The pgn\'s there now, with torakula as white facing a French defense. Perhaps 13. h3 is the answer too--thereby preserving the rook pawn. 13. Qe3 was weak. I didn\'t see the threat.-

14Scotland  torakula2015-05-22 00:18:50
Incidentally, thanks too the admin for this facility and thanks, LerouxJP, for your time. There\'s chessic learning tools here of which I was ignorant. The PGN tool seems to work quite well.-

15Scotland  torakula2015-06-17 00:56:19
on a completely personal note, dsuttles, in case you read it here: yes, like you asked in the common chat room, would I teach you chess? I\'d like to...but I\'d prefer 5m to 10m, otherwise I can\'t \"chat\" and chess at the same time. ...but if you catch me online, I WILL chat/teach and field questions during the game. ...after all, I do teach chess to kids.... so yes, I\'m willing.-

16Canada  dsuttlesChessHere Moderator2015-06-17 07:41:42
i\'m into my second childhood right now, but that is sorely tempting-

17Scotland  torakula2015-06-18 16:18:10
alright well. ...consider it a deal if you can catch me online.-

18Canada  dsuttlesChessHere Moderator2015-06-22 10:15:32
