Sure, that is quite alright.

In case anyone can\'t see the rules, I will post them here:

No political Debate, No religion, Don\'t be offensive to others. Don\'t accuse people of cheating until you have a proof. Don\'t spam. Don\'t post anything not related to the forum subject. Don\'t post irrelevant advertisements.
* Anyone who violates one of these rules will be blocked from posting in the forums, moreover, his account may be suspended.

BTW, it has been brought to my attention that the old rules need to be rewritten so that they are more clearly defined. These rules:

\'No political Debate, No religion, Don\'t be offensive to others. Don\'t accuse people of cheating until you have a proof. Don\'t spam. Don\'t post anything not related to the forum subject. Don\'t post irrelevant advertisements.\'

Will be re-written by myself and cleared with the owner.

6 TroudTchus,

Well, EPPR and I are doing our darnest to make this a fun site.

And I like PrashantKSinha\'s idea of being able to talk about science fiction. Why shouldn\'t our members be able to talk about stuff they like?

The reason we exclude threads about political debate and religion is because both provoke actions by people who do not agree with the poster and then we get into arguements and name calling and so forth and so on.

I have about 3 people who hate my guts right now because I took them off-line. I would do it again if I had to - we don\'t need people causing problems here. This is a FUN site!

Well if you are not into science fiction but want to try it out a good place to start is E E `Doc`Smith`s Classic `Lensman` series. I think there are seven in the series.
Starts on Earth and gradually works outwards.

Very entertainig and dare I say it, feasible.
I learned how to it`s really possible to traverse the universe thanks to Doc and his hero Kimball Kinnison.

I don\'t know about the rest of you, but I would much rather go see a Sci-fi movie at a big screen theater with all the bells and whistles than read a book. *big SIGH*.

I often get criticized by my peers for not reading enough and watching too much TV, but the saying, \'a picture is worth a thousand words\' really comes true in a good movie.
I can watch a good movie in 2 hours that would take me 10 days to read the book version.

I read one of EE Doc Smith\'s books years ago.The characters were cardboard but the action was pretty good. I find SF movies are too cliche and often stupid plots just so the director can display his latest special effects. Arrakis09 have you tried audiobooks? You can listen to them while driving - makes a long trip quite enjoyable- while exercising, walking or waiting at the doctor\'s. Unlike a normal book you don\'t have to put aside time especially for it.-

A person watching his face in mirror and noticed that his face is changing, He think it might be some illusion or am dreaming. Then after few days he read somewhere if we check the cell out of which our body made and through scientific instrument we note down there changes in properties like shape, behavior etc. up to 10 reading each of certain interval then we can determine our face shape even body shape which will in future. Then person went to mirror think wow! this is the perfect science. But suddenly got paralytic attack and he noticed that whatever the experiment he did to determine his future face, Now his face not changing according to that.
This is Science fiction. Science based on experiments and the base of that experiment is very unpredictable

Stephen says that \"Till where the light reaches we called it science and the darkness after that me named it God\"

Actually He was not telling about God, He\'s indirect meaning related to uncertainty.

Does any body thought about where this universe end. There is no end. This is live example of uncertainty. This theory supporting famous law of uncertainty.

Censorship is always to the censors because clever advocates resort to allegory. Case in point, Star Wars, a collection of political and religous allegories. Politically it shows the weakening of a Republic by political disunity resulting in the rise of a totalitarian state, The Empire. The Empire is then counter-attacked leading to a sort of commonwealth of parties (an association of self-governing autonomous states more or less loosely associated in a common allegiance as to the British crown). There is also the underlying religous component of light force verses dark force, suggesting important Bhudist and Taoist leanings. Question, Are we allowed to discuss Star Wars?-

Fool. Do you really think Skywalker destroyed me ? Luke sucked you all in didn`t he.
They cant show what became of Luke and his chums once he became an adult and got bored being Mr nice guy.
Thats my boy.

Alec Guiness was a nice touch wasn`t he. He cost a lot of money to drag out of retirement. He had me going I can tell you.

You know I was the star don`t you. You couldn`t wait for me to appear could you.
You love me really dont you. Did you shed a tear when you thought I copped it.
Blacks cool isn`t it.

May the force be with you - DV

Yeah, if only he`d had a proper team.

The analogies about empire builders is relevant if only because most sprawling films deal with `rise and fall` yarns.
It would be easy to dismiss them as social engineering propaganda.
Real life history is littered with downfallen tyrants.
When the goings good get on the bandwagon.
When the writings on the wall, save yourself.
If you can come up smelling of roses......

WOW! Did everyone see the News about the 3 young girls who were kidnapped for 10 years!?

20Australia  Baggy_Gee2013-05-09 05:38:57
What is the deal with girl number 3 Michelle Knight? All we are receiving her in Australia is the other 2. Is she ok? Are her parents coping with the sudden reunion? Already heard the other 2 stories to death but am interested in the third story slightly more now. But wasn\'t it great to hear that they have been freed.-
