Yuriy Oleksandrovych Kuzubov is a Ukrainian grandmaster (GM) born on January 26, 1990. Representing the Ukrainian Chess Federation (UKR), he achieved the International Master (IM) title in 2003 and officially received his Grandmaster title in 2005, after securing his final norm in late 2004. Kuzubov reached a career-high classical FIDE rating of 2699 in December 2017, ranking as high as No. 44 in the world. Known primarily as a formidable open-tournament competitor, team league specialist, and former elite youth prodigy, his career highlights include winning the Ukrainian Chess Championship in 2014 and helping Ukraine secure multiple medals at European Team Chess Championships.
