Overview

Jan Vykouk is an International Master from the Czech Republic, born on March 17, 2000. He achieved the FIDE Master (FM) title in 2015 and was officially awarded the International Master (IM) title by FIDE in 2018 during the 89th FIDE Congress in Batumi, Georgia. He reached a career-high classical FIDE rating of 2553 in April 2026. Vykouk is established primarily as a competitive tournament player, a regular participant in national championships, and a representative for the Czech national team in international competitions.

Vykouk's early competitive breakthrough came in August 2018 when he won the silver medal in the Under-18 section of the European Youth Chess Championship. His solid performance during this period contributed to securing his International Master title in the same year.

In June 2023, Vykouk participated in the Challengers group of the prestigious Prague Chess Festival. He finished in a tie for second place, scoring 5 points out of 9 rounds.
