Felix Blohberger (born August 20, 2002) is an Austrian chess grandmaster. Based in Vienna, Blohberger represents the Austrian Chess Federation (AUT) in international competitions. He was awarded the FIDE Master (FM) title in 2016, the International Master (IM) title in 2018, and completed the requirements for the Grandmaster (GM) title in 2021, with the title officially conferred in 2022. His career-high classical FIDE rating of 2548 was reached in May 2026. He is primarily known as a highly active tournament professional, a key representative for the Austrian national team, a theoretical author, and a prominent chess coach and content creator.

Biography & Major Career Milestones

Blohberger began his competitive chess career in Vienna, participating in local youth events after learning the game in kindergarten. His international breakthroughs came in junior events, culminating in winning the European Under-16 Rapid Chess Championship in 2018 and finishing fourth in the European Under-16 Classical Chess Championship the same year.

Blohberger earned his three required norms for the International Master title in close succession:
