Jorden van Foreest (born April 30, 1999) is an elite Dutch chess grandmaster. Representing the Netherlands (NED), he was officially awarded the Grandmaster (GM) title by FIDE in 2016 at the age of 16, making him the youngest grandmaster in Dutch history at the time. He achieved a peak FIDE classical rating of 2736 in April 2026, alongside a peak world ranking of No. 14. Born in Utrecht, Netherlands, into a distinguished chess family, van Foreest represents a multigenerational chess legacy. His great-great-grandfather Arnold van Foreest and great-great-granduncle Dirk van Foreest were both three-time Dutch Chess Champions. His younger brother Lucas is a Grandmaster and the 2019 Dutch Champion, while his younger sister Machteld is a Woman Grandmaster who won the Dutch Women's Championship in 2022 and 2025.

Van Foreest began playing chess at the age of six, pursuing the game with competitive regularity from age nine. He rose quickly through the youth ranks, winning the European Under-14 Chess Championship in 2013 with an undefeated score of 7.5/9. He attained his International Master (IM) title in 2014 at age 15, and secured all of his Grandmaster norms over the course of 2015.
