Playing Style, Material Tendencies & Endgame Profiling
Ghosh possesses a highly solid, positional playing style characterized by high resilience and low loss rates. He maintains a pragmatic approach to competitive chess, which is highlighted by his preference for maintaining long undefeated streaks. His games demonstrate a refined treatment of king safety and a preference for structured positional advantages over speculative tactical complications.
Ghosh's strategic identity is evident in his handling of space and transition from the opening to the middlegame. He is comfortable holding symmetrical pawn structures and navigating minor-piece imbalances, showing a particular aptitude for converting isolated queen's pawn structures and utilizing the bishop pair. In defensive scenarios, Ghosh relies on concrete, computer-era calculation, allowing him to neutralize attacking threats and establish resilient fortresses.
In technical endgames, Ghosh demonstrates strong endgame conversion, especially in rook-and-pawn endings and knight-versus-bishop endgames. His focus is on long-term positional grinding, actively using his king to support passed pawns while minimizing tactical counterplay for the opponent.
