Playing Style, Material Tendencies & Endgame Profiling
Dudin plays with a positional, classical style. Statistical database profiles of his games indicate a high average accuracy of over 93% and a low blunder rate of approximately 0.1 blunders per game in classical tournament play. He relies on positional maneuvering, precise tactical calculation under pressure, and highly accurate technical conversions.
Dudin has demonstrated considerable tenacity in defensive positions and highly theoretical endings. In a notable encounter against GM Hans Niemann at the 7th Sharjah Masters 2024, Dudin fought through a wild, complex rook endgame, exhibiting his ability to defend and complicate materially unbalanced endgame scenarios. His technical proficiency extends to knight-versus-bishop conversions and opposite-colored bishop structures, which he often steers toward to neutralize highly aggressive, attacking players.
