Player: United  adminChessHere Moderator Subject: Highlighting a Few Important Rules for Everyone

2018-04-18 15:53:24
Hey All!

Welcome to all the new players! We are glad you are here!

As we are gaining LOTS of new players daily, I wanted to be sure that everyone reads the rules for posting in the forums so that we can be a happy, fun, community of chess players supporting one another.

When you make a new post, notice at the top there is a paragraph of rules to follow. Please read them before posting.

I want to stress a couple of them and also extend those rules to comments made on existing posts as well as public CHAT areas.

1. Never bad-mouth another player publicly.

2. Never accuse any player of cheating publicly.

Easy, right? Sure it is! Just be nice.

That being said, we do also have a rule against cheating by use of any outside materials, including computers in an effort to increase your ratings. So, for anyone who suspects someone is cheating, please contact an ADMIN directly and we will proceed with an invesigation.

That's it! In short, be nice, and report rules you feel have been broken privately to ADMINS.

Thanks so much for everyone's help with this so players can come here and have fun playing their favorite game!

We will be gathering information on multiiple accounts. The rules state that you can only have one account on Chesshere, so over the next several weeks, duplicate accounts will be deleted.

Thanks for understanding the significance of this very important rule. We appreciate everyone who follows the rules to make this a fair place for players to come play chess!

Hey All!

With another influx of new players, I wanted to bump this forum post up and ensure all the new players as well as veterans that cheating is not tolerated.

Using two accounts to inflate your rankings is cheating and is not fair to other players.

We take this very seriously, as we want Chesshere to be a place where Chess players can come and be assured they are playing with other honest, ethical players.

Thanks all for letting us know when you see suspicious activity! We truly appreciate our community of players!

The number of players has declined by about 17 over the past week or so.

Most chess site forums are not greatly used.
